No restoration yet...
We have inherited two cars and both need some work. We have decided to recover the command car first. You can take a look on it on the links page.
Meanwhile a bit of history about this car.
My father spend some time researching for the history of this car and it seems it have been bought on Switzerland. I don't know where this information came from, but I believe he had some documents that I've been unable to locate.

Meanwhile a bit of history about this car.
My father spend some time researching for the history of this car and it seems it have been bought on Switzerland. I don't know where this information came from, but I believe he had some documents that I've been unable to locate.
The documents I found indicate that:
* Carlos Prado de Oliveira bought it in 31st march 1958 on Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The colors wore Golden and Black, I assume that this is the original color as the car was only about 2 years old.
* Mario Luiz Hoffmann (My father) bought it in 18th April 1967 on São Paulo, Brazil. The car was on a car sales company, and its name is unreadable. The color was golden and black.
* Luiz Hoffmann (My grandfather) registered the car on it`s name. The date of the registration couldn't be determined but he has payed some taxes of the car, that was already registered in his name in 18th January 1968. I assumed that it was registered in Curitiba, Paraná, Brazil but there are no documents to verify this information. On the car documentation, the latest registered owner was Carlos Prado de Oliveira, but the receipts from the car store have my father's name. I assumed that he bought the car but did not registered it, then he sold it to my grandfather. The color on the documents is not indicated.
* Somewhere in time, between 1968 and 1998, my father bought the car again, but kept the documentation on my grandfathers name. Some restoration work has been done but I don`t have any document with precise dates. The restoration has been stopped and not completed. No dates here, I guess it should be on 1978-79 as I was born on December 1978. The documents available indicate that the car was green then. Some pictures show the car on a paint job, it has been painted on blue. It remains blue until the actual days. The documentation still indicating it as green. Some small parts of the car still painted in green.
* I've decided to make the engine run and to update the documents of the car on 1998. My father donated the car to my and I've registered it on my name. The document with the car on my name is dated 15 september 1998. Some work have been done. The engine started and the car used for a ride around the block. It has been started weekly for a couple of months, but later some of the electrical components have been stolen and the car remained stopped since then.
* When my grandfather and my father died the house where they lived has been sold and we had to move the car to the place where it is parked now. My brother and I decided to restore the cars, but we decided to start with the Dodge Command car. The Studebaker will have to wait for a while.
